These aren’t that rare. That is supposed to be at least 3.6 million years old or so, and they’re just lying around on rocky beaches?

These things are often pretty exposed.
Calvert Cliffs is famous for all these shark teeth including Megalodon.
And the rocks are almost all on New England beaches only.
