Dr. Mehmet Oz has spent the past week defending himself from charges that he's hopelessly out of touch with most residents of Pennsylvania, where he is the Republican candidate for Senate.
Last Monday John Fetterman, Oz's Democratic opponent, resurfaced a video Oz recorded in what he called a "Wegners" — a mishmash of the Redner's and Wegmans grocery store chains — shopping for "crudité" and complaining about inflation. Fetterman's comment: "in PA, we call this a veggie tray."
In an exclusive statement as part of Insider's investigation into Oz, the doctor's campaign jabbed back. "If John Fetterman had ever eaten a vegetable in his life, then maybe he wouldn't have had a major stroke and wouldn't be in the position of having to lie about it constantly," Rachel Tripp, Oz's senior communications advisor, said.

Sorry but whatever the topic I must promote the election of Mehmet Oz because otherwise we may have to debate the finer points of the matter together in a gulag fighting over scraps of garbage and shivering in the winter.
Dems MUST get out of office. Vote GOP including for Oz.

Sounds like familiar argument that many FRs don’t agree with. Many would prefer a Dem to any GOP candidate not endorsed by Trump whether or not the Trump candidate sucks i.e. Oz in this case.

Why is Fetterman making a big issue of Oz eating crudités, which are some of the healthiest things you can eat? Is he trying to appeal to the junk food junkies?

The eggheads on the Main Line and in Bucks County, e.g., thrive on crudites and fine wine.
I support a balanced meal including meat and potatoes.

Yes I understand but I lived through the New Frontier, Great Society, Carter and the Bush dynasty.
Except for Reagan and Trump there was a lot of “grin and bear it” “lesser of the evils” “maybe next time” and “just buck up.”
Still, Mondale, Dukakis and others would not have been good while we waited for a new shining light. Life is too short.
Oz will not (we hope) go for release of prisoners, mandatory climate change restrictions and suppression of freedoms in the way Fetterman would. And this isn’t the Presidency.
Fetterman lived off the parental teat until 50, when he figured out a way to live of the government teat. Now he wants a promotion to a bigger government teat. That alone should give Oz all the ammo he needs against this slacker thug.
I don't know. about meat heads, but fetterman has the meth head vote all locked up.
