My apologies, but I want to identify the BEHAVIOR which results in these horrific health outcomes as opposed to proclivities.
I’m convinced that are men who are sexually attracted to men who never act on these urges, out of spiritual obligation or a civilized sensibility. These men can properly be labeled “homosexual” without there being any risk in their health, because they don’t DO those things on which such health outcomes hinge.
So my description is valid. Actually, using a one-size-fits-all word for queers is a leftist playbook page.
Wearing a condom will not protect anyone from contracting MonkeyPox.
It’s the felching afterwards!
Liz Highleyman
I am a freelance writer, editor, and health educator. My work spans a range of areas including public health, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and C, sex education, global justice activism, civil liberties, censorship, politics of technology, and sexuality and gender issues.
I operate Black Rose Editorial Services.
Much of my writing and activism relates to health, patient education, and the politics of health. I received a degree from the Harvard School of Public Health (several years after my undergraduate work in cognitive science and international relations). I have written on health issues for HIVandHepatitis.com, the Bulletin of Experimental Treatments for AIDS (BETA), published by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, the Hepatitis C Support Project, POZ magazine, NAM’s AIDSmap, the Well Project, the Bisexual Resource Center, ACT UP, and others.
I am a certified emergency medical technician (EMT-B) and a member of San Francisco’s Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT).
I’ve worked as a street medic at several large global justice actions, starting with the Seattle WTO protests in 1999. I’m a co-founder of the Bay Area Radical Health Collective, and am currently working on a book about health and safety for activists.
Additional health-related projects have included CHAMP-Cannabis Helping Alleviate Medical Problems, a medical marijuana buyers’ club; the San Francisco HIV Prevention Planning Council; ACT UP/Boston and the IV League needle exchange program; and the Boston Anarchafeminist Self-Health Group, which published a pamphlet on abortion alternatives entitled Regaining Control.
Anarchism and Politics
I consider myself a philosophical anarchist, though an eclectic one without allegiance to any particular party line. I’ve written widely on the topic of anarchism and radical politics, including an Introduction to Anarchism that has been propagated over the web and translated into several languages.
Since 1999 I have been involved with the global justice movement and have written several related articles, including an article on drug pricing and patents for AlterNet, a long article on AIDS drug access in developing countries for BETA, and an essay on queer activism and the global justice movement for the recently published book From ACT UP to the WTO (Verso, 2001).
Sexual Politics
I am a co-editor of The Harvey Milk Institute Guide to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Internet Research (Haworth, 2002) and Bisexual Politics: Theories, Queries and Visions (Haworth, 1995).
My work on sexual politics has appeared in several books, magazines, and newspapers, including the Bay Area Reporter, Spectator, and Cuir Underground newspaper (which I edited from 1994 through 1998).
I also write a bimonthly LGBT/queer history column called “Past Out” for Q Syndicate (syndicated in some 50 publications worldwide).
The black rose is a traditional anarchist symbol, along with the black star and the black flag. Many entities — not all anarchist — use the black rose name, including a Canadian book publisher, a Danish heavy metal band, numerous Irish pubs, at least one drag bar, and a BDSM group.
Unexpected.
It might be monkeypox.
It might be a vaxx induced monkeypox.
It might be something else all together.
But I think the timing of this so-called monkeypox outbreak, right after the widespread use of an orthopoxvirus vectored CoupFlu vaxx is quite the coinkydink.
Especially since this so-called monkeypox seems to presenting much differently than it has in the past.
Yeah, I know. A queer site.
Sometimes you have to go to these sources to get the unvarnished truth when those who consume it depend on the facts for their life.
I’m not directing any criticism at you.
I just never heard of POZ before, nor had I heard of Liz Highleyman. I thought perhaps others might have been as uninformed as I was.
Thanks for posting this story.
Oh NOES! Da moankee poxes and fageaux wasting disease AT THE SAME TIME???
Does science fauchee know?
Something must be done...oooh look! Doritos!
Who’s that in the center?
Poor gerbils.
And in other breaking news water is wet
The CDC has spent three years worshipping at the altar of masking. Do you suppose it might come out for mandatory male chastity belts for homosexual men?
“Clench your cheeks for just two weeks.”
I’m not yet willing to blame the vaxx for monkeypox.
Fags are renowned for importing exotic, third-world diseases into industrialized, modern nations. This was the case with HIV/AIDS, which had its origins in primitive African nations but was brought here by a queer airline flight attendant. One “patient zero” soon spread it to the entire Western hemisphere, and much of Europe and Australia.
They will bring more.
They take Prep to keep having sex though the risk to HIV is there.
They want the vax for monkepox to keep having sex though the risk to monkeypox is there. The vax for monkeypox is not available to the great crowd there is of them.
They will prob lie and say they’re vaxxed.
If they can’t get the vax. They likely won’t stop having sex.
Don’t kid yourself the CDC and the govt doesn’t know it.
You play, you pay. With those kind of games, anyway. There’s a reason there’s not many gay men past 50-60. Think about it.
I like to post from the enemy when they are honest. They outright discount this information from fact-based, conservatives sites. This gives them no excuse.
My guess is Hunter "Little Guy" Biden.
“Bless their hearts”
“..It’s the felching afterwards!...”
I’ve never seen that word before so I went and looked it up: TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!!! No wonder they’re diseased and beyond the realm of the sane.
