The downside is that the app opens up your computer to some other snoop. Can’t win for losing.

I use a “NoScript” browser extension that allows me to tell any given site what scripts I will allow. Some are needed most the time to see anything on the webpage. I always leave the google-analytics off. It doesn’t cause any issues with the page but it does stop their info gathering to an extent. Amazon-ad’s is another one that’s used a lot.

If you use it you will find it to be a pain for a while as you figure out what scripts are needed and what aren’t. There’s an option to allow all scripts on that site for those times I’m feeling lazy.

An interesting point is FR doesn’t have any scripts except the base one for FR. It’s rare to find that.

"Unfortunately, Googerteller is currently only designed to work on Linux-based operating systems (Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, Fedora, etc)"

Why Beep when you can very simply Block instead?

Kudos to Jim for few or no trackers on FR!

I’m sure that the individual beeps blend into a constant tone at times.

FTA: Googerteller is currently only designed to work on Linux-based operating systems

Windows is used by 90% of the people and this guy picks the OS that most have not heard of.
