People seldom say “mankind” anymore, because it’s allegedly offensive to women. But then the replacement “humankind”, also has man in it. Justin Trudeau says we should say “peoplekind”, rather than “humankind”, so as to be most inclusive.
I know this is a joke but some people take this sort of thing seriously.
My wife had a friend (who thank God is gone) who did not want to be referred to as a “woman” - because, yes, “man” was in that word. She was “female”.
I couldn’t stand her for a couple other dozen reasons.

A lady in our quilting group, a retired NLRA attorney, would get all hot and bothered if I said “man hours”. She would correct me and announce, “HUMAN hours”. Major eye rolling by everyone else, all conservatives. I made a point of saying it often.
Can we change ‘WOMAN’ to ‘WOE’, or 304 (304 = HOE or garden tool)?
