That song was the first public non-political thing that pissed me off.

Yes the tune is catchy, but...

Yeah, that was pretty outrageous, at least by today's standards. I don't recall anyone making any comment about it at the time. There were other songs with subtly raunchy lyrical content at the time too.

Some not so subtle. I'm thinking here of California Nights, which was written by (of all people) Marvin Hamlisch, and sung by Leslie Gore. Lyrics by Hamlisch's brother-in-law Howard Liebling.
