Nuclear powered CVs are just plain dumb. We need conventional carriers because they are way Less expensive, same strike capability and require less crew training. Conventional carriers are much more survivable and can take much more battle damage and NOT LEAK RADIATION ALL OVER THE CREW.
A CVN operates as part of a Battle Group all of which are conventionally powered. To me CVNs make no sense.
