A number of FReepers, but especially the pro Russia bunch have complained a lot about US financial support to Ukraine. In the comment answered here, Poland has already committed to buy $4.75 billion Patriot missiles. In addition, how much more money will go to US business for the 250 M1 Abrams tanks. The Poles have also invested in 500 HIMARs from the US. I’m not clear on whether all the remaining purchases are from S. Korea, or if additional might also be from US. Can any of our military informants here clarify how much money might actually come to the US from Poland. I imagine a lot of other EU countries are also comtemplating purchases. Also quite a lot of the money allocated by Congress is also going to be spent in the US for military and humanitarian supplies that will be purchased from US businesses and supplied directly to Ukraine or refugees.
We have people like Alexander Dugin who for 25 years has been influencing his proposals for Russian domination partly through influence on tyrant for life Putin. Anyone wishing to take part in the battle to save this country and the world for tyranny and Fascism would do well to study this man. There are many articles to be found at Google, “Alexander Dugin and Putin Friendship” or similar choices. Be sure to go to links beyond the first Google page as he has been writing at least since his opus work in 1997.

His 1997 pivotal work, The Foundations of Geopolitics: The Geopolitical Future of Russia, is a 600-page textbook that includes excerpts from some of history’s most prolific strategists. These include Alfred Mahan and Halford Mackinder. In eight parts, each with chapters and subchapters, he establishes the strategies of Russia’s adversaries, devises his own, and provides bold steps to regain Russia’s position of dominance lost at the end of the Cold War. The most trenchant of these recommendations include the invasion of Georgia, the annexation of Ukraine, the separation of Britain from the rest of Europe, and the sowing of divisive seeds in the United States, each of which should sound quite familiar.
Suffice it to say that two of Russia’s most controversial moves this century have been the 2008 invasion of Georgia and the 2014 annexation of Crimea. Dugin addressed the problems of both Georgia and Ukraine in back-to-back subchapters. According to him, Russia needed the Black Sea coast-line for both trade and as a naval base of operations so that the “northern coast of the Black Sea [could] be exclusively Eurasian and centrally subordinate to Moscow.”[1]”
If you would wish to counteract Putin’s plans and those of his supporters, you must study Dugins work, as you would have needed to study Mein Campf if you wished to fight Hitler.
Given what Dugin to say about Crimea and Putins actions in carrying it out, I wonder if something could be worked out where Ukraine regains all it’s territory including Crimea, but makes an agreement to allow Russia to base commercial shipping in Crimea for a fee. Also an international highway be built to Russia from Crimea, which would not allow transport of military supplies and include inspection rights. Thus, at least the objective of a warm water port and trade possibilities for Russia could be secure, without the military danger to Ukraine and other Black Sea and Mediterranean countries. I don’t know how well the Danzig Corridor worked out, but that is at least one previous example used to solve a difficult multinational problem.
