The current leader, Orban, a man of questionable democratic views and friendly with Putin put a lot of effort into villifying Soros. He sought advice from two US political hachet men who told him to find an enemy and strike hard, distract the people from substantive issues and it would help him win the election. He chose Soros, and lies were spread such as him being an active Nazi during WW2, although he was 15 at the end of the war in 1945. Since the family was Jewish, his father did his best to disguise the family and keep it safe. Sometimes that probably had to include not acting in ways that would trigger Nazi attention. Soros has a pro democracy organization in Hungary which if it is smart will move to a friendlier location. Don’t trust anything commented by an obvious Pooty Pal, as already seen in a number of Ukraine posts.
