Their basketball arena is nice, and the fans get into it.
I have a niece in her senior year at A&M, maybe I'll go to a game this year. I've seen a game in Norman, too. Great experience.
Because the feds keep giving more and more aid to students. If they ever forgive student loans you’ll really see college tuition blow through the roof.
But “Chicks dig the long ball”.
The Big 8 was my favorite “in the day” because of my love of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Followed by the Oklahoma Sooners and Roll Tide. We were upset at the long line of coaches coming and going at Nebraska. Hopes for Scott Frost are shaky …especially in the Big 10. I don’t want a miracle. I just want talent and discipline. (Maybe a little luck like if the referee gives you one more second on the clock to kick a winning field goal when the game is over, after an incomplete pass. And your coach gets to tell the reporter he planned it that way. 🙄 )
Money Money Money. I’m streaming this year.
No matter what, I can’t wait for NCAA football season!!!
God Bless America!
Peacock and BTN will carry the leftover games
BTW how does this affect that POS program SNL if nbc gets the night game?
No doubt. Always enjoyed the ABC coverage.
Don't conflate national titles versus TV audience”.
Absolutely.
The Big House, Horseshoe, Camp Randall (Jump around), Happy Valley (White Out) even Spartan Stadium can be a good time.
The Big Ten Atmosphere is great. Especially as you go deeper into the Fall.
I think Utah, Washington, and Oregon will also join.
I think that leaves room for ND. They are a perfect fit.
The most overrated football team in all of sports.
Nebraska never should have left the Big 12. Most likely they would have joined Texas and OU in the SEC had they stayed put.
I see Florida just opened up a new huge Football facility.
At one time I would have cheered such a thing, but now, frankly it appalls me how much money goes into a game. And I say that as someone who has been a huge CF fan for years.
They have the three biggest TV markets, or they will as of 2024.
I want to see Alabama play in the snow.
They’re going with a Sat night feature game, similar to their Sunday night NFL feature game.
It’s recorded, not live anyway so it will come on after the game is over.
I think “All of you All” are forgetting about / underestimating the Golden Gophers.
I think the tv revenue shares had a lot to do with the decision to leave. UT practically took over. I don’t profess to know, but it wasn’t the Big 8 anymore as everyone knew it.
In retrospect, with all the movement and more movement to come, you’re right. They might have been better off staying. All about revenues and recruiting. $$$$
The problem there is that FOX will always have first pick and will always pick the best game and put it at noon. This is an issue this upcoming season as FOX has the OSU @ PSU game and is putting it at noon. Normally that would be the whiteout game, but whiteout games need to be at night. So PSU named Minnesota the whiteout game. So nobody's happy.
They often do that now with Notre Dame. ESPN will usually have 3 to 6 Big Ten games on every Saturday with ESPN/ESPN2/ABC depending on the scehdule
Fox usually has a Big 12/Big 10/Pac 12 game on Saturday at prime time as well
