Their main feature is expendability and mass-producibility. Imagine a few dozen of them ambushing your column. Suppressive fire won’t work.

Video said this prototype was $16,000. Yet prototypes are always vastly more expensive than mass produced. I bet they could get the cost down to 1000 bucks or less.
I can see some real benefits for whomever uses them. They don’t get tired, get insect bites, have to eat, become Sick, get sad or afraid. I see them being used in ambush situations where they could sit immobile for days waiting for a supply column etc as you said. The only negative is their recharging needs, which is why I think they would be ideal for ambushing.
Personally I detest their development and use. You know it’s just a matter of time before some Bill Gates type nerdy dictator gets an army of these.
