Black Americans living in highly segregated neighborhoods report more nearby crime and drug abuse, worse air quality, a greater lack of affordable housing, and fewer safe places for their children to play locally compared to their Black peers living in white neighborhoods.
That’s according to a new report from NPR, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, which detailed the differences in survey responses between Black people living in majority non-white neighborhoods and Black people living in majority-white communities.
In the survey, Black adults in predominantly non-white neighborhoods also gave lower ratings to the quality of their schools, policing and emergency services, all while also being more concerned about crime. They were also more likely to want to move out of their communities while lacking the resources to do so, and they reported more serious financial problems when compared to their peers in white neighborhoods, according to a report on the survey findings.

So blacks feel they do better in white neighborhoods.

These are quite surprising findings.
And yet many blacks segregate themselves by choice.
Har har...what a bright spot. The majority will go a few years and get no degree, but have a lot of debt. Many others will get worthless degrees and even more debt. Some will actually get a worthwhile degree, but probably not many.
I’m sure they’d be happier with more of everybody.
No effort was made to control for the effects of poverty, unemployment, and other factors that lead to concentrations of people of different racial or ethnic groups in particular locations that have high crime rates.
It doesn't take a genius to understand that in general people of all races and ethnic groups who can afford to live in neighborhoods with less crime chose to do so. Some people choose to stay in neighborhoods when crime increases, but only a small group of people intentionally move to neighborhoods with high crime rates from safer neighborhoods if they have a choice to live elsewhere.
We just need to bus white democrats into these neighborhoods.
And people wonder why White Flight is a thing.
Twisted logic.
The “Great Society” efforts did what it meant to do. Destroy black families, keep them dependent on the government, made the government more powerful, and kept those “n***ers voting Democrat for the next 60 years”.
I am strongly in favor of this policy solution!

I think they’d be happier by murdering all their neighbors until they were the only black person left.
