It’s really no different than the latest budget thing they just passed. The Republicans have perfect cover.
Budget bill...needs simple majority. They don’t have to vote for it. If Manchin and Sinema side with them, they parade around like heroes. If Manchin and Sinema vote with the Dems, they know Harris will break the tie and they can thump their chests that they opposed, while many of them would have NO problem voting for it, if needed.
Perfect political cover. Everything is Harris’ fault.
