Or the FBI suggested he gets out of town for “his and his family’s health”.

Most likely because the search warrant is unconstitutionally VAGUE & OVERBROAD, and effectively allows a fishing expedition. For example, if they get a search warrant to look for a stolen TV, they are definitely not allowed to look in your wife's underwear drawer. Theres no way the item could be in there. Items being sought must be described with particularity.
They had to search out a known incompetent magistrate that would not read it and simply rubber-stamp it

Reinhart knew what this was and was more than happy to sign off on it. Probably knew about it ahead of time and volunteered to be on duty that day for it.

So that’s what they were waiting for…

unavailable? They do have their ways to get what they want.
To: MaggieMay
The assigned judge was “unavailable.” Following the raid, he was released.

I think what happened was that, after obtaining the warrant, the panty sniffers waited a couple of days. Which, generally speaking, is not too unusual, since there is no mandate to immediately do the raid. They have 10 working days to return the warrant. I’m not defending the FB of PS, just clarifying warrant protocol.

I call BS on this. The only job of a magistrate is to be available 24/7.
I concur, I know someone who got a search warrant from a federal magistrate at the pool area of the magistrates condo on a weekend...

Sure, maybe it’s within the protocol limit, but who’s to say that they were waiting for this magistrate to go take a little vacation? I think these guys all talk to each other as a matter of regular business. They know when they have “vacation” days scheduled, and someone needs to cover for them. Just like in any business.

Also, if this was sooooo urgent, then I think they shouldn’t have waited any days.

Is the original magistrate dead? Why isn’t the magistrate named? Aw nevermind.

Reinhardt signed off on the warrant just a day or two after Trump law firm denied a request by the defendants to drop the RICO civil suit, which Reinhardt had been presiding over until June 2022 when he recused himself.
There are so many “odd” things about all of this.
But I’m sure there is nothing connected. Nope, all just a big coincidence, nothing to see here, move along.
