I love that you rescue cats!!!!!!!!! I did for years but husband now refuses to have cats for the fur. Havanese and Bichon both are non-shedding. You just have to keep them groomed to avoid them turning into a single large matt.
The trash can kitty takes my heart.
Our Persian was a grey, tiny wisp of fur. Corie would hold her down with one gigantic paw and lick her into a soggy mass of fur.
My favorite rescue was a baby robin, Trilby. I set up two hula hoops and soft netting over a plastic hanger attached to a chandelier over the dining room table. Fed him hamburger moistened with squished raspberries every few hours. He grew up and learned to fly in the dining room. After I released him I would find the remains from his childhood, along with Corie’s spots on the wallpaper. Husband went ick, but to me they were memory finds.
I currently have a feeding station for the wild fuzzies just under the library window so I don’t have to go outside. We get raccoons, grey foxes (who knew they love peanuts), skunks, groundhogs, possums, and the more usual squirrels. I feed two groups of 4 and 6 raccoon babies every night between midnight and 3:30am. They’re adorable.

I watched the video you posted and it was so relaxing to watch them all just enjoying their food. You are an angel!
I have to admit that when I read about Trilby, I thought I was reading about another cat. Read too fast, I guess. I was trying to figure out ... LOL ... why you set up such a thing for a cat! The mental picture was hilarious. Thanks for the good laugh.
