I hear ya. My cataracts make reading FR a laborious pastime but worth it. I used to love to read books and make doilies etc, can’t see it now. I always heard “With age comes wisdom” but they don’t tell you that’s about all that’s left! LOL

I had cataracts at a young age (60) and after removal had multi-focal lens implanted. It’s a modern miracle! No glasses anymore, and I can see very fine print, close, medium, and far distances without any help. There are a couple of times I’ve needed a pair of readers or magnifying glass to see very small intricate detail like for fine sewing, but almost all of the time, I don’t need a thing. Insurance covered 80% of my surgery except for lenses I had to pay for out of pocket. You might look into it. A godsend for me!
