Gee, I change my passwords every once in a while. Do these idiots not think the DOD changes the nuclear code? Like when the president changes. And do they think the officer that carries the code in what is called the football would just say here you are Mr. Trump, take these codes any where you want. What a bunch of balcony.
Depends on what they mean by “codes”. There are Permissive Action Link (PAL) codes used to selectively unlock nucs.
At General Nuclear Release (GNR), the SHTF Defcon 1 situation, there is a single code that unlocks all nucs. These are NOT changed every day and requires special teams to physically change codes in the event they are compromised, which is extremely unlikely.
The President has no need for these codes and he does not even have access to them. All his “Football” contains are authenticators (aka cookies) used to verify its him with NORAD, and those are under the control of a military person and not the president.
Those authenticators are only changed out periodically unless somehow they are possibly compromised in which case they are replaced immediately.
So any idea that President Trump had nuclear codes or other materials at his residence is laughable.

The codes needed to launch a US nuclear strike are supposed to be kept close to the president at all times.
A department within the Defense Department is tasked with overseeing all aspects of the nuclear-launch process, including the codes.
During Bill Clinton’s presidency, officials from that department discovered the codes had gone missing.
