We’ve learned that a favorite tactic is to announce an “investigation” which allows them to seize and embargo documents and evidence, and then sit on them, effectively denying access to other investigations.
They leak fake allegations from some fake anonymous source to the fake news, then they use the fact it was “widely reported” in the news as a pretext for investigating. Next, they leak incriminating fake details of the fake investigation to the fake news, but refuse to name their fake sources or show their fake evidence on the basis that it is an “ongoing investigation”.
Rinse, repeat.
Their aim is not for any of their bogus charges to stick - their only goal is to keep various incriminating narratives alive in the news cycle as long as possible.
It is all about manipulating the perceptions of the dumber half of the American citizenry, who believe that law enforcement would not be investigating someone for no reason. They believe President Trump must be guilty - or else why would he always be under a dark cloud of suspicion?
The bottom line is that the Democrat party owns the fake news, and the fake news gets to decide what is a scandal and what is not.
That is why Obama gets to boast of having served two “entirely scandal-free” terms as President, while President Trump tenure is defined by damaging leaks, allegations, scandals, investigations and impeachments.
