The US government has ordered its employees in Tijuana to stay out of public places, shelter in place and continue to monitor local media reports as violence continues to surge in the Mexican border city.
Authorities in Mexico are investigating at least 10 vehicle fires in Tijuana, causing US agencies to air on the side of caution and lockdown its employees, according to Fox News.
It cited the 'multiple vehicle fires, roadblocks and heavy police activity in Tijuana, Mexicali, Rosarito, Ensenada and Tecate' as the reasoning behind the order.
'US government employees have been instructed to shelter in place until further notice,' a representative said, according to Fox News.
The violence began Thursday in Ciudad Juarez, just across the border from El Paso. Los Chapos, members of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel, formerly led by Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, and local group Los Mexicles began feuding, leading to a riot that left two dead and 20 injured, the Times of San Diego reported.
The violence then spread out of the prison and into the streets of Juarez, where gang members killed an additional nine people, most of them civilians.
Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez said the national guard and police reserves are ready to be deployed if needed, according to Fox News.

“The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) sent a warning threatening mass violence against anyone roaming the streets this weekend in cities throughout Northern Baja California.
The message in Spanish read: “Be warned. As of Friday at 10 p.m. through Sunday at 3 a.m. we’re going to create mayhem so the (expletive) government frees our people. We’re the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, we don’t want to hurt good people but it’s best they don’t go outside, we’re going to attack anyone we see on the streets on these days.””

When a young man in the early eighties I traveled freely and safely in these Mexican border towns. It has reached the point where the US should bring all of our soldiers home from Europe, give them a thirty day furlough and then establish another Army expeditionary force (in conjunction with the Mexican army, or not) and sweep the US-Mexican border of the Mexican drug cartels while creating a 50 mile BUFFER ZONE on the Mexican side of the border under Mexican-American Martial law.
Mexican citizens able to live freely in safety while peacefully and legally trading with the US. American citizens able to do likewise.
An almost immediate cessation of illegal immigration (breaking and entering), human and drug trafficking in Mexico and the US. In this way the Mexican people and government would have an opportunity become their own government of, by, and for their people.
Although not ridding Mexico of all its illegal enterprises, an action of this magnitude might tip the scales of justice so that the Mexican government, police, and military could finish the job.

Sounds like a plan. Do you think our current government would even consider that?
Isn’t ironic that Democrat and RINO policies create more problems to solve? We allow cartels to invade America with drugs, sex slaves and just crime in general, committed by illegal aliens just to payback cartels for crossing the boarder. That gives the cartels the money and power to make these boarder towns lawless. A sane defense of our border and limited legal immigration would solve a lot of problems.
TJ was always lawless.
