“Why do I open the article for a photo when I already know the perp is Amish?”
I live nearby this Wendy’s and the locals here state the 67 year old customer from Dewey complained about the food and called the employee the N-word. But this is not an excuse to attack the customer.
“ called the employee the N-word”
Poor choice on the part of the customer, but if he couldn’t resist using the n word he could have accused the worker of being niggardly with the fries (not getting his money’s worth)
antoine, i asked for extra pickles, why so niggardly with the pickles?

Can you give us a cite? What “locals”? The perp’s relatives? Actual witnesses?
So the white guy was correct in both...?
Stupid think for the old man to do....
However, as someone who spent some time in the service industry in my younger days I was called many names, and insulted in many different ways by angry customers... However I never once sucker punched any of them.
The N-word is a "fighting word" when spoken by a non-N. Calling him @$$hole or moron might have saved him from being punched out...or maybe not.
Public Defender 101:
“If you, as a black, are accused of a violent crime against a White person, say “They called me a nigger.”
It’s a “Get Out of Jail Free card”.
Unless it’s on audio, I don’t believe it.
