Curious to what she does for a living. That would be very interesting to know how she pays the bills.

She runs a nonprofit $$$ that supports women’s literacy in the Sudan and Ethiopia and has ties to various left-wing groups—she hates America but she’ll take your dollars in donations.

Nyamal Dei
Founder/Executive Director
We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in the state of North Dakota.

Nyamal Dei was born in Ulang, South Sudan, and was separated from her family and forced to flee her home. She trekked hundreds of miles from Sudan to Ethiopia. Then from Ethiopia to a refugee camp in North-Western Kenya called IFO, thousands of Sudanese refugees escaped from war-torn Sudan. Today, Nyamal lives in Fargo, North Dakota.

Nyamal studied at North Dakota State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education in Community Health with a minor in Child Development & Family Science. She also has a master’s degree in Public Health from Benedictine University.

Nyamal was invited to participate in a dialogue in Washington, DC at the U.S. Peace Institute, to discuss combating hate speech related to the violent conflict in South Sudan. She participated in leadership development with the NEW Leadership Development Institute at MSUM, the North Dakota Women Network, the North Dakota Farmer Union, and the Change Network. She has served as former humanitarian deputy for the Alliance for South Sudanese in Diaspora (ASSD), was a former school board candidate, a member of the United Nations Association, and a board member for the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition.

Nyamal believes her passion, perseverance, cultural competency, and multilingual abilities have always been assets to anything she puts her mind to. She loves to be involved in the South Sudanese community and other communities around her. She focuses on helping underprivileged families and orphans and is working to build a much-needed learning center in South Sudan and Gambella, Ethiopia for children who do not have access to books and education.

She is the founder of Kondial Kel International, formerly South Sudan READS.

Our non-profit was named in honor of her mother, who did everything to help her family survive. Kondial Kel means “Together”. Its mission is to improve lives through education and community-related activities, programs, and learning centers. To do so, we engage and empower, build, develop and connect locally and globally with the ones that need us.
