I live in Fargo. We just had an election for mayor and school board members last month, so this is the fallout. The good news is that we had genuinely conservative people running for seats on the board. The bad news is that maybe 15% of elegible voters showed up for the election, and much of that 15% would be the edutocracy getting "their people" into power. So their very first act is to dump the Pledge as it does not conform to their views. At least they are honest.

People are still asleep here. They think city government and the school board are filled with people that have traditional values and the well-being of the community in mind.

Complacency kills....Not just in combat, police work or fire fighting.

It kills everything. Why are parents enemies of the state according to school boards and the FBI? Because parents got complacent. They weren’t paying attention to what has been happening all around them.

I grew up across the river in Moorhead. Such a shame that sensible Fargo seems to be striving to be like the Twin Cities.
