I don’t blame him a bit for being angry as hell.
That used to be a nice place. Somewhere you think might have been a wonderful place to retire.
Now, it is a stinking Leftist sewer, eagerly populated by Leftist bums, encouraged by Leftist policies.
Yes. I would be pissed too, if I were in his shoes.
I don’t know his politics. Never wanted to know them.
To have a home that expensive I’m sure he pays a lot of taxes. All of his neighbors do. They all should be angry and complain.
It’s one thing to be “down and out” it’s another to let the place go to hell.
I was at venice 2 weekends ago for a friend’s BBQ. It’s not really horrible but the houses at the beach line is riddled with tents.
I knew once the city connected the trains directly to Santa Monica Pier, it was game over. I’’ve been on the line from downtown L.A. and it’s full of ghetto animals and gross homeless who sleep on the trains.
now with tourist season in, I’m sure they will have a negative memory of the place.
When my buds were in high school, they walked down the beach Avery morning from Marina del Rey to Santa Monica High. Pleasant walk, lovely beach, totally safe, though there were a few harmless weirdos on marijuana.
No kid in the world should set foot on that beach now. What a waste of gorgeous homes with an incredible view.
I was just there this June. I was also there in 2021. One of my kids lives not far away. I walked the length of it (a fuzzy concept, but pretty much) both times. I also know what it was like from 10-20 years ago.
Yes, Venice Beach is a pit these days. I don’t know how the local homeowners (these are very expensive apartments/condos on the beach) tolerate it.
