Those actually are probably the last words that syndicated columnist Dorothy Kilgallen excitedly said to her friends at a restaurant the night she was later found dead in a bed at home, her original pages of evidence and final draft of her column never found again. She said this was her biggest career break and would prove the truth about the JFK assassination’s true culprits, thus assuring her a place in history.
Media cover story was that she took sleeping pills and alcohol to commit suicide but a coroner did not find that. She had a book placed upside down in her hands——a book she had laughed about to friends saying “That book was so bad I wish I could get a refund on the time I spent reading it.” And the bed was a setup for others because she always slept in another bed in the next room.
