Damn right we are!!! They’re turning our kids into gender bending freaks.
The present model of public schools may have made sense in the late 19th century. We have moved beyond that.
And the bloated public sector unions and government grifters have taken control of public schools, which has further cemented them in an un-reformable model
“Quality” is one word that should NEVER be mentioned in the same sentence with GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS.
When the Carter administration created the Department of Education plenty of people knew that centralized control in D.C. would lead to a far worse system than local control of education. And here it is in all of its glory.
Ronald Reagan ran on a promise to abolish the Department of Education. He didn’t, of course, and while I haven’t checked to be sure I suspect that it was due to a lack of cooperation by the Republicans in Congress.
Bush junior had a Republican Congress and he could have abolished the Ed Dept. Of course he also could have deported illegals instead of trying to give them amnesty. Liberal GOPers are like that.
THEY ALL NEED TO BE ENDED.
Its over.
Is there any ‘quality’ left to be concerned about? /sarc
I am not “concerned.” I am many years past school. My children went to parochial school. I assume the public schools cannot be reformed because the federal money cannot be removed from the system and the teachers’ unions cannot be dissolved. My grandchildren are home schooled and at age ten and eight already know more real history than public school kids will learn in their school careers. Public schools are beyond redemption and people who actually care for their children’s future have already removed their children from the system. It is not like it is all secret what the Public schools are doing. Everyone knows. Those who keep their children in them either approve or do not care about their children.
Precisely why we home schooled
And this can actually be done at a low cost. Homeschoolers and classical Christian schools ( 2 day university model, Classical Conversations etc) can do this very affordably.
Am I concerned about the quality of schools?
You betcha!
