I have two black children. Both are lactose intolerant and one has a milk protein sensitivity (that’s worse and includes lactose free milk). We provide them with oat milk and almond milk for cereal, etc. But otherwise they drink iced tea and water. They make up calcium and protein in part through high meat consumption. The schools don’t owe us anything.

Exactly. This article strongly implies that the parents are too helpless to know what to do.

I had always thought that lactose intolerance was a northern European genetic issues.

Now I learn that maybe no one should drink cows milk after their teen years.

Maybe we should just all go back to fresh human milk? I understand that American Indians would sometimes nurse their children until menses ...
