John Lennon learned to love America the way many conservatives do today. Everyone has the right to change their minds. Imagine if Werner Von Braun hadn’t changed his mind and went with the Soviets instead?
Paul McCartney wrote “Motor of Love” which contains the verse:
Motor of love,
motor of love.
Heavenly father look down from above,
I can’t get over your powerful
Motor of love.
I had no idea.
Awe c’mon, you didn’t like Ringo?
“Awe c’mon, you didn’t like Ringo?”
Ringo is OK because he puts out fun songs. Catchy too. The rest of em’ are pretentious to mediocre. I put George at #2. Paul and John, just boring rubbish.
Reminds me of the joke:
"God is dead" -- Nietzsche
"Nietzsche is dead" -- God
I remember when I was in elementary school in the 70’s. We were supposed to sing lennon’s “Imagine” at a school concert. My uncle who was a tunnel rat had just returned from vietnam. My severly PO’d dad went to the school adn reamed out the music teacher , principal and the superintendant of schools for having a song by a communist in a school program. That little concert was canceled and after that music and plays were sent out to parents for approval before any other school programs were done.
