Why dos it seem like a kind of big deal?

I'll take a shot at that pertinent question.
#1 Have you looked at the TV line up on television? We're in a nuclear waste land. A disaster zone.
#2 If there's nothing on TCM, there's nothing. Practically. Oh sure, you can check out Shark Week! I've been reduced to that. Hallmark with it's predictable "everything will turn out all right and the two people hating each other will fall in love".
#3 Fox News, if you're blood pressure can take it. I'm tired of politicians giving me the finger and backslapping each other and laughing . . at my expense. #4 Which leaves BCS. as mindless entertainment. As I try to unwind from the stress of todays living as we are approaching War with China and Russia (Thanks Biden!) and inflation eating up all of my disposable dollars.

I’m hoping the final two episodes are better than the two before them. The robbing the mall plot line didn’t fit the show at all.

I was getting frustrated earlier this season with the Howard prank. I didn't see the point in it--especially when Jimmy and Kim were presented with every reason NOT to pursue it. Yes, millions of dollars, but Jimmy would get that eventually.

Then Howard summed it up in his last scene: Kim was getting off on it. Jimmy was her recreational drug. But Saul was her crystal meth.

She saw what Saul could do when he blew apart the Mesa Verde account in Season 5. We thought she would leave him then. Instead, she proposed! She had a taste and wanted more.

She thought what could Saul do if she came up with a plan ...

And compared to most recently produced TV, they are not pushing pronouns and other social agendas.

The mall scheme was Gene defending himself.

He was solving a problem without throwing away his current identity, or paying Ed the Vacuum Repairman double for a new identity--and a new life who knows where.

(We also learned last episode that Gene doesn't have a ton of disposable cash laying around anymore.)

The mall is Gene's world from 9 to 5 (or whenever Cinnabon closes). It was a convenient target.

He arranged for Jeff and Ricky to steal just enough, and in a certain way, that it would guarantee a felony conviction and long jail time for both of them. "You squeal on me, I'll squeal on you. Leave me alone."

And it worked.

If Gene had just obeyed his own warning and stayed away from Jeff and Ricky, there likely would never have been any problem.

Agreed! Both BB and BCS are refreshingly un-woke.

Their attention to detail is amazing.

They even lined up the bullet holes in the RV's door in the exact same pattern as the original.

No ... but it does confirm he was talking to Kim. And his use of "we" when he asked her what should we do? is curious.

Some enterprising youtuber managed to filter part of the audio so we can hear fragments of the conversation--in English, this time.

Its muffled enough that I'm not convinced the captioned dialogue is entirely accurate. I don't hear the line, "What do you say we do?" I can only hear two or three syllables.
