He could not have usurped the office without the assistance of the GOP.

Manchin’s oponent last time was sadly not ready for prime time...
A stronger and better candidate probably would have been Manchin, but Morissey was not ready for prime time, at least not for a statewide race.
Will be interesting to see who the GOP puts up against him in 2024... if Trump is at the top of the ticket, and GOP puts up someone decent.. I would think Manchin may get retired... However if they put up another weak candidate it probably won’t happen.

I stand corrected.
But, the guy that came after him, naively(I hate to admit) actually thought that there were some in DC that actually cared. That they would help him. And he was doing great, all on his own, especially once he got his feet on the ground and came to the realization that he was one man fighting the world.
Can I admit that maybe he shouldn’t have picked at McCain? I can. But McCain was never the Conservative hero that he was propped up to be, when they needed to prop him up and he should have put the country over his ego, when voting to get rid of the AHA. He did not. And that led the way for 4 years of blatant opposition, obstruction and everything else.
But, when you think about it, we could go all the way back to Bush 1, as I would consider him the one that started paving the way for all of this nonsense. He and his generation of government hacks are the OG Globalists.
But, Soetero and his puppet masters sure as hell did a number on this country. Hell, if what Grassley is hinting about with regards to the FBI and it being as bad as it is, we’re in really bad shape and there’s only one way to fix all of it.
They're welcome to audit me for as long as they want. I file the short form, have no deductions, except for my 75-year old self, own nothing, no car, no home, no interest earning checking account, no savings, stocks, bonds, CD's, etc. It took the IRS 7 months to process my short form that I mailed in this year. It's the longest I've ever had to wait in all the years I've been filing my taxes by mail.
The Bill is going back to the House for a vote this week. It will be interesting to see how that vote breaks down.
