Charlotte, NC has a Greek community with a long history of restaurant ownership serving non-Greek food (hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, Southern staples like fried chicken, steaks, prime rib, etc.). As an American and a Southerner, do I care and am I offended? NO.

All the whiners and the perpetually offended need to shut up and stop annoying everybody else.

Agreed. Some people aren’t happy unless they are miserable because of some imagined injustice.

I was in Duluth, Georgia once for work and decided to go to a place called the Georgia Diner across from my hotel. I figured it would be southern cooking, which I like a lot, but it wasn’t. I felt right at home anyway. It was just like the family restaurants in Chicago that I call Greek diners, because the majority of them are run by Greeks. They have huge menus that include some Greek items, and some Eastern European, but the majority of offerings are good old rib-sticking American cuisine. I mentioned when I paid my check that they were just like the Greek diners back home in Chicago, and I found out the owners were Albanians! The food was just as good.
