Three months since the first case of monkeypox was reported in the U.S., disinformation and harmful stereotypes targeting gay and bisexual men – who are most likely to become infected – continue to run rampant, causing some to worry that the spread of the disease will further stigmatize and isolate an already-marginalized group.
Upwards of 7,000 cases of monkeypox have been reported in the U.S. since May, afflicting mostly men who have sex with men.

The KGBT has a month in which a several governments, media, social media, and multinational, multibillion dollar companies fly rainbow flags, or their company logo in a rainbow theme. Roughly 3% (maybe less) bullies the other 97% into accepting or at least tolerating their existence in countries that won’t throw them off roofs. They are not marginalized. If it’s gay or bi men who are most likely to a contract and spread this disease. If this isn’t about identity politics, then it should be about public health, which clearly it isn’t about public health at this point.
