What you refer to as ‘laissez-faire’, I refer to as Harding/Coolidge.
Their hands off approach produced a pretty good 1920s for everyone.

But then again maybe the “Harding/Coolidge/Trump hands off economic effect”.
1920s & 2017-2020 were pretty good years for most.
