Back in the day, anytime we went outside the US (business travel) we were given a briefing & reading material on the do’s and don’ts of other countries/cultures.

Yep. And I still didn't listen. I got caught trying to smuggle contraband into the USSR back in 1986. Took them about eight seconds to find it. I was only 16 so I got lucky and they laughed at me. Shew. Thought I was going to the gulag for sure.

I thought for sure when I went to the USSR on a school trip I’d be busted for smuggling in copies of Kafka.
