1. Voter ID with proof of U.S. Citizenship
2. In Person voting only, one Election Day, no exceptions
3. Fingerprint required on every ballot.
4. Paper ballots only, watermarked and retained.
1. Yes.
2. There are legitimate reasons for absentee voting, such as military service. Absentee voting should require the reason to be stated and verified. No more early voting at all. No ballot harvesting.
3. Requiring a fingerprint on each ballot would not be compatible with the concept of the secret ballot. Instead, to receive a ballot each voter should sign and fingerprint the voter list. (Signatures should be in pen, on paper. No more of the touch screens. If they want an electronic record of signatures, take a photograph.)
4. Yes.
Laws requiring ALL elections ballots & records are already on the books:
MUST be retained for 22 months.
Many states just did as they pleased...epecially Colorado.
I agree with everything except fingerprint on the ballot- it eliminates the possibility of a secret ballot.
It is clear ballots probably DO have fingerprints, but making it mandatory would not be kosher.
I’d be good proudly flaunting a purple ink stain on my pinky finger for a few weeks as well.
