This is all theater. There’s no compelling reason for Nancy to go to Taiwan. She’s doing this to try to look real tough in the wake of the Biden administration’s foreign and domestic policy debacles. And the Red Chinese know it and are playing along. They want to keep Nancy behind the speaker’s podium and sure as hell don’t want to deal with a MAGA Congress next year.
Agree. The only interest involved is her own - drowns out her husband’s drunk driving issues and as an added bonus got the Republicans to bark approval like fish-begging seals.
