I think this is all theatre coordinated between the CCP and the Democrats. All meant to bolster the Democrat chances in November, but just in case I am wrong I will be watching to see if she makes it home.

I agree. It is designed to give China an excuse for some aggressive measure against Taiwan- such as a blockade.
