I recently purchased a Aeropress coffee maker. It's like a French press but with less moving parts. The biggest variable is water temperature. Keeping the temp at 195 or so makes it impossible to make bad coffee, in fact the longer it steeps the better it gets.

Outstanding! Unfortunately, I have trouble with obtaining optimum leverage using the Aeropress. I must rely on the taller human with large hands to serve up my afternoon Aeropress coffee.
