Wow. Walk up to one and see if there are any dead birds laying around.

I am sure there are plenty of dead birds, as those things sit directly in their flight paths. I know that the outer edge of the blade goes very fast, even though there is an optical illusion that the blades are moving very slowly, but these don't seem to be moving at all.

PS, one can't merely "walk up to one". They are surrounded by a tall chain link fence topped with razor wire. Very Scenic.

I see them on top of the blue ridge mountains and I have never seen on move either. But I don’t gaze at them. They are ugly.
