I’ve met him a couple of times and he seemed intelligent and knew a lot about the topic we were discussing. Yes, he has the Georgia southern dialect and cadence when speaking, but that is not a sign of ignorance.
Met him in ~2013 in Dallas. I’m from the South. Not a dialect issue. Plenty of us have a drawl or degree of accent and are still plenty articulate and well-spoken.
