Likely this latest adaptation of a more plausible theory, which indeed discusses micronovae. Our local star -- the sun -- is not a dead star nor a white dwarf. Within the Western canon the notion of the star which shown during the day and lead Magi could have been, but the notion that our sun operates on such a cycle as the one you mention is theory from 1997 forward. The "star" in New Testament tradition was not on the theoretical schedule "newly discovered.," so the threads of what is believable and what is not plausible -- such as finding the data of the next polar reversal -- are distinct.

I suspect that in normative Christian and Jewish traditions, this particular 12K cycle is not actually as Vogt and his Jacksonville, Florida, foundation say it is. The foundation's address -- suggesting a "suite" 133 -- is a UPS store, so this seems quite in line with other such operations.

I suspect sourcing back to biblical references -- as his "found in the Torah" claims -- is hubris, when set alongside the admonition of Matthew, Mark, and more including Revelations that "no man" knows the day and hour. Vogt violates that biblical tradition, if his is the "12,000 year cycle" you reference.

The Bible give some things to look for:
One of the major signs of the end times is deception. Virtually any media or government outlet. Check.
Another significant sign of the end times is famine and hunger. Hysterical reduction of cows and cow farts, fertilizer, fuel and pesticides. See Sri Lanka, The Netherlands, Canada... Check.
Natural Disasters. Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, droughts, etc. Never a shortage. Check.
Revelation 6:5-8 warns that our world will be rocked by new diseases and subsequent plagues in the end times. AIDS, Ebola, COVID, monkeypox, etc. Check.
War and rumors of war. Check.
Signs in the Heavens. Sudden temporary darkening of Betelgeuse, anomalous warming of planets from Mars to Pluto, James Web detecting far more dust and grit that expected, etc. etc. etc. Check.
One of the signs of the end times many people don’t talk about is persecution. Check.
Jesus prophesied in the final days that there would be lawlessness. Ummmmmm, does it count as lawlessness when it’s all done nice and legal-like by the government? Defund the police? Check.
Off hand, I’d say the signposts are there, but no man knows the day or hour...
