The Ukrainian response will be to want to see every Russian dead and that hatred will last 500 years.
The Russians already feel that way because of Ukrainian WWII deeds, hense the behavior. And the Ukrainians feel that way...etc, ad infinitum. Very difficult to fix this kind of hatred. Not sure how we survived it from the Civil War, another thing that makes the US different from the rest of the world, the world that we now seem to want emulate.
The world...not just Ukraine.
