I remember sending a Coulter article to a lib friend years ago. In it, she suggested invading Muslim countries, killing the adult males and enslaving their women and children.
He was furious at such a statement, having taken it literally. I tried to explain that it was satirical reversal of the liberal acceptance of the Muslim doctrine, but he was gone off the deep end, never to return.
Libs aren’t humorless.. they just laugh at different things than conservatives do.
The girlie boy Jonah Goldberg at NRO fired Coulter for that column. She lost a close friend who was on the plane that hit the Pentagon. I don’t think Anne’s column was satire. It was a demand for revenge.

Ohh, they’re humorless alright. Just try suggesting that they might not be occupying the moral high ground. It’s grinsville from there on out.
Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.
Leftists are often covert narcissists

People with covert narcissism might make dismissive or sarcastic remarks and act as if they’re above the criticism. But internally, they might feel empty, humiliated, or enraged.
Criticism is a threat because it constitutes evidence that the person’s negative view of themselves may actually be true. When they receive a critique instead of admiration, they can take it pretty hard.
