Congrats on the win. That was nothing to sneeze at then, nor today.
Yes of course, eventually someone has to win. Or several people. When it gets this big and this much media attention they will sell more tickets which increases the odds one of them will hit. But I think it’s in the range of 350 million to 1 odds. So technically speaking it’s only an advantage to play if the net payout is more than 350 million - which it would be now.
OK, I can live with that.
“It’s not really $1 BILLION but instead is more like $350 million after everything is done.”
Well, the hell with it then. Not worth the trouble for a lousy $350 million.
If I win, I can pay the MINIMUM on ALL the credit cards next month
There’s a lot to work with and I wish you luck!
I never really played again believe it or not, maybe 2 or 3 times.

When the lottery first started in the 70s my then g/f gave me a dollar and asked me to buy her a scratch off, I did and she won $50, later she asked me to buy her another one, I did and she didn’t win anything, She never bought another one.
Dude, im originally from SK. canadians can buy US lotteries but you have to pay Uncle Sam taxes. (Yeah I know, I still remember my aunt winning half a mil more than 20 years ago and didnt pay a dime in taxes)
Can you dm me the numbers?
;^)
That would be a giant mistake.
Every party has a pooper that’s why we invited you.... :-)
“One for us to live in, and one to put all her stuff.”
Smart man. I hope you win.
Thanks for reminder. I’ll splurge $2.
Meh. I buy one Megamillion ticket every month. $2. Odds don’t get better til you splurge about a million bucks.
My wife just bought ten tix and we won $2! Yippee!
My wife has been putting $1 scratchers in our kids’ Christmas stockings for years and years. They always have fun scratching them off and somebody always wins a few bucks. The biggest win I think has been maybe $10 or $20. None of them play on their own which is good.
“...and one to put all her stuff...”

That reminds me of a joke...
Guy tells his wife:
“I just won the lottery, pack your bags.”
Wife says:
“Where shall I pack for? The city? The beach? Or what?”
Guy says:
“I don’t care where you go, just get out!”
Yep, you have to immediately stop because if you win big once the odds do not change, they are still the same that you will lose.
When I won I beat 1 in 2 million odds but if I played again it’s still 1 in 2 million. It was just a fluke I won.
What’s weird is I was hanging out with my brother in NYC and we passed this news stand and I just out of the blue decide to blow $5 on a lottery ticket. And i was carrying that thing around all month in my wallet and one day I came *this* close to having a guy in a seedy smoke store check the ticket for me but then I said let me wait till I got home, and checked it on the net and fell out of my chair. But can you imagine if I gave it to him? He could have said “No winner” and kept it.
I never play scratch off or lottery. But this time I took $2 dollars out of my swear jar and said what the hell.
