Very sorry to hear that. If it weren’t for his writings and research many of these WW2 naval heroes would be largely unknown.

I had no idea. That’s terrible. His books are superb.
I highly recommend The Fleet at Flood Tide. Like all of his books, it’s highly readable and packed with information.
RIP. Far too young.
