This is a sad statement, but no surprise. I have two daughters who recently finished medical school, and both were indoctrinated by leftist physicians and professors far beyond what they experienced in undergrad. One emerged with politics diametrically opposed to what she was raised to believe, and the other, while initially taken in by wokeness, is beginning to have second thoughts.
Medical education (like nearly all others) has been thoroughly infiltrated and hijacked by the left. It is time for folks to recognize that their physicians may not hold the same values as their patients.
It’s hard to fight - they have such respect for those they look up to, when those same people push their politics it becomes accepted as “opinions from people far more knowledgeable than I”. So they adopt those positions.
Only life experience will teach them that such smart people can be absolute fools at the same time.
