I read the whole thing. I liked the part about his wanting to write different things or in a different way but wondering if there would be any readers! Sort of like a band’s writing new material and finding the audience only wants their old stuff.

...I particularly liked when the pain was so bad that he had to reach for his phone. No doubt you remember the first time you thought you were with someone and turned to speak to them and found they were deep in their phone... ah, it’s a new world.
