Same for Dallas, TX. I get it why Fort Worth exists.
But Dallas?
Dallas exists so those in Fort Worth can see what the east looks like and why they want it to stop there. Amon carter who was a Fort Worth business man who also owned the local paper used to go to Dallas on business every so often. He reputedly told his driver to pack a lunch for them and ensure the gas tank was full because he did not wish to spend even a dime there. The byline in the newspaper said: Fort Worth, where the west begins.

...you know, if they would just change the name of Dallas to “Big Popcorn” it would make a big difference, I think. Get ‘em on the road to right thinking, maybe. Have you been to Deep Ellum? Is that not the world’s capital of bad art?
