Cutlers closed ? I bought my first CDs there in 1985.

Didn’t think that place would shut down, ever. That’s a neat little block there. They had that coffee shop kitty-corner there but I can’t remember the name. It was my goto after a Toad’s show. Last time that happened was KT Tunstall.

Never much liked Sally’s or Modern. I’m a Paul and Eddies guy, all the way. Or I’ll leave that hellhole and get to a Captain’s or to Monroe for Country pizza. And is Mahmoun’s still there ? I thought that would get a spot on anyone’s New Haven list.

Honestly, I hope the whole place folds in on itself. It’s neat to get all cultural there but the place is still a sh!tpit.

Mahmoun’s is unknown to me. I do remember the corner bar at 1 Broadway known as “The Brewery”. This was before the microbrew explosion, but they boasted beers from all over the world. 18 year old me asked for a beer from Luxembourg. They had it. It was good! today I would have asked for Saudi Arabia, though that would be unfair.
