Try that with your .308 and you’ll get busted. It takes longer after every shot to get your sight picture back as well.
Net: it’s a very different shooting experience when you move up to .30 cal.
That’s why I said you need a bit of practice. But it isn’t that hard. I’ve taught 14 year olds how to do it. And they shoot pumpkins at 400 yards. A steel tip 308 will penetrate an engine block.
