My church has practiced Christian nationalism for decades from the definitions I have read.
We have and American flag up front on one side and the Christian flag on the other.
We have always believed marriage is between one man and one woman, and God created us man and woman (Bible definition).
Sex between two men or two women is sinful, and abortion is killing an unborn person. We sing God bless America and other patriotic songs around the fourth of July. We recognize our veterans on veterans day.
We have church members who are black, white, part black, part white, part native American and part other. All are welcome. We understand our home is not of this world and we are just passing through. If this is the definition of Christian nationalism, then that is what we have always been. We also believe Jesus Christ is Lord (and of the Godhead) and him crucified, and his blood spilled for our sins has given each person the opportunity for salvation. How long will it be before this too is condemned?
I think we’re there already.
